The Philips HeartStart FRx is a sturdy and reliable defibrillator suitable for use in various settings such as homes, offices, and department stores. Designed for ease of use, it allows anyone to operate it confidently. The FRx comes with an audible metronome and CPR voice prompts that guide users through the rescue process step by step. Its SMART Pads II can be used for both adults and children, ensuring efficient treatment regardless of the patient’s age. For pediatric cases, the device includes an Infant/Child Key that adjusts instructions and therapy specifically for children.
One of the key features of the FRx is its SMART Analysis technology, which automatically evaluates the heart rhythm and will only deliver a shock if the advanced algorithm determines it’s appropriate, even if the Shock button is pressed. Additionally, it has a Quick Shock capability that enables it to deliver a shock within 8 seconds of CPR being started.
Designed to be lightweight yet durable, the HeartStart FRx can withstand challenging environments. It performs regular automatic self-tests—daily, weekly, and monthly—to ensure pad readiness and the functionality of its systems. This readiness ensures that the defibrillator is always set to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies, whether in the workplace or within the community.
