First Aid - 10 Person Onsite Group Training

The First Aid class equips participants with the skills to assess and manage common medical emergencies, including injuries, sudden illnesses, and environmental conditions, until professional medical help arrives. It focuses on providing immediate care in non-life-threatening and some life-threatening situations (excluding CPR/AED unless specified).

• Laypersons: Parents, teachers, coaches, childcare providers, workplace safety officers, and community members
• Non-Medical Professionals: Security personnel, camp counselors, fitness trainers, or others requiring certification for work or personal preparedness

Prerequisites: No prior medical experience required. Participants should be able to perform physical tasks like applying bandages or splints.

• Full Course: 2–4 hours, typically completed in a single session
• Renewal/Recertification: 1–2 hours
• Blended Learning: Online coursework (1–2 hours) + in-person skills session (1–2 hours)

• In-Person: Instructor-led training with hands-on practice using first aid supplies (e.g., bandages, splints)
• Blended Learning: Online modules for theoretical learning, followed by in-person skills practice and testing
• Interactive: Includes demonstrations, videos, and scenario-based practice to simulate real emergencies

• First Aid Basics: Scene safety, emergency activation, and understanding consent and Good Samaritan laws
• Managing Common Injuries: Bleeding control, wound care, burns, fractures, sprains, and stabilization of head, neck, or spine injuries
• Managing Sudden Illnesses: Relief for choking, allergic reactions, seizures, diabetic emergencies, stroke, and poisoning
• Environmental Emergencies: Responding to heatstroke, hypothermia, frostbite, and bites or stings
• Hands-On Practice: Skill stations for bandaging, splinting, and choking relief, along with role-playing emergency scenarios
• Assessment and Certification: Skills testing in bandaging, choking relief, splinting, and more. Optional written exam. Certification valid for 2 years upon completion
